Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Filmroll (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live in order to create a gallery.

Accounts and sign-in

You sign in with your email address through a one-time link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Gallery and share links are capabilities — anyone holding a link can use it within its scope — so share them carefully.

Your content

You keep all ownership rights in the photos and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant Filmroll a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, convert, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service (including generating HDR and resized versions and serving them to people you share links with). You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to upload and share it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload, store, or share content, or to take any action, that:

• is illegal, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• is, depicts, or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or the sexual exploitation of minors — we have zero tolerance, and will remove such content, terminate accounts, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law;
• is harassing, threatening, defamatory, or hateful;
• contains malware, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or galleries;
• is spam, or abuses or overburdens the Service's resources; or
• violates any applicable law or regulation.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

Copyright and DMCA

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@filmroll.io that includes: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work; the URL or enough detail to locate the allegedly infringing material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act and may remove material and terminate repeat infringers.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your galleries at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content will not be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Filmroll will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above; your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
